6 Months

I can't believe how fast time goes by when you have kids. Kinley is 6 months old today and she is getting so big. We went to the doctor yesterday and she weighed 15 lbs and is 25 3/4 inches tall. I thought she was pretty small still but when I compare her to Kelvey's measurements at 6 months she is 2 pounds bigger. I knew Kelvey was little but she was really little!!Kinley has started eating cereal twice a day and is doing well with it. I plan to start baby food this week. She has the sweetest smile ever with two sweet cheek dimples. She as started to make noises with her tongue that we think is really funny. Her personality is really coming out. She can be so happy one minute and turn on you in a second. However, she is beginning to be more content on the floor playing and watching Kelvey's every move. She thinks Kelvey is so funny! I love the days when I am in the kitchen and I can hear them laughing at each other. I remember worrying about how I was going to handle two so close together but they are really good about entertaining each other. Kelvey does a great job looking after her"babe" she calls her. Kinley does roll over occasionally but does not love being on her tummy so she will get as far as possible and stop before rolling to her tummy. She has not figured out how to get her arms up so she can roll back over but I am confident she will be rolling across the room in no time. Kinley is a pretty good sleeper at night as long as she is swaddled. I would like for her to sleep a little later but at least I don't have to get up in the middle of the night. She is not a good napper. Most days I am lucking to get one good hour three times a day. The doctor suggested taking one nap away but I am not the one dictating her naps. It is all her. She just will eat and fall asleep so I am going to try it and see if it works. But when she is really fussy the child wants a short nap who can argue with that.

We have started basketball season and Kinley really seems to enjoy the games. She is very observant and loves to watch the guys run up and down the court. I will post pictures of that soon.
